TORNADO WATCH- Walworth County:

Construction Update WIS 20

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE-
07-10-2024
Hello,
The County ES closure date has been moved to Wednesday, July 17th. This change is to help better position the contractor’s resources to try and shave whatever days we can off the 21-day closure. The message boards on County ES will be updated today/tonight to show the new date. Attached is the updated construction flyer showing the changes.
Elsewhere, work has picked up. Road excavation in East Troy is ongoing and will roll into the County ES closure next week. Between County L and Waterford, we started removing the trees/stumps cut last fall, existing guardrail, and installed some of the erosion control devices. The operations will continue to pick up and hopefully we catch some dry days going forward.
The intersection of WIS 20 and County L will be done in halves to allow traffic to continue to use County L. While this may cause a few small delays, we are trying to avoid using a 14-day closure of the intersection to complete the work. With the north leg of County ES being closed next week, County L needs to remain open to offer an alternate route for traffic.
