Construction Update WIS 20: The county line area is getting close to finishing and the work in East Troy was delayed a week as the concrete crew was stuck on another project. Hopefully, they will make up lost ground next week and we can start removing the drums and other traffic control devices.   The work for the culvert east of Carver School Rd is scheduled for November 4th. This will result in a closure of WIS 20 between Carver School and Hillburn Mill Rd for about a week while we replace the culvert. We will have message boards directing traffic around the closure to help keep local access.   East Troy – WIS 20/County ES intersection Finish up the concrete islands in the intersection   WIS 20 – Bell School Road to Honey Creek Rd (County Line area) This part of the project will decide when we are able to re-open WIS 20 between East Troy and Waterford. Below are the remaining operations that need to occur. Install new guardrail along the north side of WIS 20 (the Honey Creek side) – Ongoing Install Rumble Strips, Pavement Markings, and Signage (Week of 10/28 but weather dependent)   WIS 20 from County L to WIS 83 (minus the County Line area) Complete most everything we can ahead of the other areas so when the longer duration sections become available, we can turn things around faster. Most of this stretch looks finished, but since we cannot reopen WIS 20 until the county line area is completed it will look like not much else is happening.   WIS 20 (East Troy) Traffic: Access to Bower’s Produce can be made by continuing east on WIS 20 from County L (East Troy) Access to Green Meadows can be made by going west on WIS 20 from WIS 83 (Waterford) Access to Culver’s will be by using WIS 20.   This Week: Epoxy coating applied under the I-43 bridges   Next Week: Pour and completed the concrete islands in the intersection. Begin removing some drums and barricades.   WIS 20 - County L to WIS 83 (Waterford) Traffic: Access to Bower’s Produce can be made by continuing east on WIS 20 from County L (East Troy) Access to Green Meadows can be made by going west on WIS 20 from WIS 83 (Waterford) Access to Witte Landscaping can be made by going west on WIS 20 from WIS 83 (Waterford)   This Week: Asphalt paving   Next Week: Continue guardrail Installation Pavement Markings   If you do not want to receive these updates, please let me know and I can remove you from the distribution list. Construction Update WIS 20

Work is ongoing in the county line area with paving set for next week. The work in town should mostly be wrapped up next week that we can start removing some drums and barrels and move into the winter configuration.

Some less good news – the anticipated re-opening of WIS 20 between County L and WIS 83 has been moved back to early/mid-November as we discovered a culvert on WIS 20 that has partially collapsed just east of Carver School Rd. To fix/complete this work we will have to close WIS 20 at Carver School for about a week while setting up a local detour so residence and customers can go around. With WIS 20 currently detoured and water levels very low, the replacement will be easiest/most productive to do so now rather than test the spring rains and snow melt. The work is slated to being Monday November 4th and I’ll send out more information as I have it.
